It boggles my mind how our president seems to be so avidly against immigrants, yet he is married to one. Today, I decided to spend the dough and go take a peek at one of the higher ups of this country. My first impression I got is that this woman is somewhat cold. Going through the movie, I waited and waited for it to end, and had to convince myself to stay and give it a fair chance. I wanted to form an opinion for myself, which I did. It was nice getting to know Melania, a little, but we didn’t really get to know her much at all through it all. She is definitely a newcomer to America. She is a model from Slovakia. I’m glad I went because I realized that the Trumps are just another American family struggling and combating the foreign wrongness that hit all of us. Trump is a salesman, a big timer, a big ego (an egotistical maniac at that), a cold businessman that will make “the deal” one way or another. But he, too, is a person, and the Trump family is just like us in a certain light. We also saw a peek at extravagance that normal Americans don’t usually have an opportunity to experience. Her subordinates may agree that she may at times have a meticulous, demanding, and unrealistic attention to detail – but that is okay… it is what make her Melania. She is to the core a model (aesthetics is a priority) as well as a family woman. It seems that way up at the top Trump has to make the dough to afford the high tastes of a woman like Melania, which he is achieving during his presidency (is that a conflict of interest? Are publicly elected officials allowed to make such profits while being in office?). I feel, because they have such high ended, upscale tastes they are somewhat disconnected from the American people, not in tune with most folks. I wonder why Americans support them. I feel that Melanie’s family in Slovakia was probably connected to the culture that infringed on us Americans, that foreign culture we know nothing about. They somehow survived (or morphed into that; and are hosts… battling such foreign within themselves, too). I know there is goodness and love in Melania and the Trumps (I’m a Dem who voted against him, again.).
