I think life is such a holy special gift. We are all special, even those unwanted.
Life starts / begins at conception.
If possible, I believe in responsible procreation. I would hope that as a loving couple, my seed matures all the way to becoming a healthy baby! A healthy and good person all the way to a natural, old death! It is a lifelong commitment, as a parent to your seed and to your spouse.
Every conception is a miracle.
I believe in honoring that thou Shall Not Kill. Yet have you ever heard of the religious sect the “Jains”? The Jains are so pro-life that they cover their faces with masks so they do not ever breath in any living organism, accidentally killing a being. Jains also walk with a broom and sweep in front of themselves as they walk so they do not accidentally step on any living creature. Jains are the quintessential and definitive standard of pro-life! Every American should at least be aware of what pro-life really is, that that perspective of EXTREME respect of life exists.
That being said, I believe in, in certain scenarios, that abortion should be legal and available for those who wish to give up their child. I pray that if, in (the hopefully rare) circumstance that an abortion is called for, that the abortion occurs in the first trimester of the pregnancy (within the first three months from the conception).
The “including, but not limited to” criteria for abortions should be as follows:
- Every incestuous conception should be aborted, without exception.
- Every conception from a rape should be aborted, without exception.
I would hope I would never have to get an abortion, but I also believe that it should be a woman’s choice. It is her body, her choice. A woman knows her body and knows when it’s not right and not meant to be, so then I feel (G-d forbid) that if a woman wants an abortion for any reason at all that is her right.
